3 Days in Byron Bay

When it comes to planning a Byron Bay holiday, you want to squeeze in the magic without overloading your days.

This Byron Bay itinerary gives you the best of both worlds; you get time to explore and time to unwind. From the famous lighthouse walk to rainforest waterfalls and even a taste of the local food scene, it’s a dreamy mix of beach, culture and adventure. Wondering what to do in Byron Bay? Start here.

Day 1: Lighthouse mornings and salty afternoons

[1/0] Byron Bay Lighthouse

Kick things off with Byron’s most iconic walk — the Cape Byron Walking Track. Winding through rainforest and up to the lighthouse, it rewards you with ocean views and the chance to spot dolphins or whales. You (and your camera roll) will thank us later!

After your hike, refuel at one of Byron’s cafés (Bayleaf and Top Shop are classics).

The afternoon is all about the surf, whether you’re paddling out, watching the pros at Wategos, or just lying low on Clarkes Beach, it’s basically a Byron rite of passage!

Day 3: Relishing the local flavour

By day three, you’ve earned a slower pace. Enjoy an açai bowl for brekkie along the beach or visit Byron’s Community Markets (every 1st Sunday of the month), where you’ll find handmade crafts, fresh produce and live entertainment adding to the atmosphere.

For something truly unique (and photo worthy), check out the Crystal Castle and Shambhala Gardens.

Before you head off, swing by The Farm Byron Bay for a coffee, sausage roll, and maybe a quick hello to the resident animals. It’s a wholesome way to wrap up your Byron Bay escape.
