Planning your Corindi itinerary? This quiet stretch of the Coffs Coast is made for slow mornings, ocean swims and fish and chip dinners eaten with sand still between your toes. To get you started, here's a 3 day itinerary packed with beach walks, headland lookouts and a taste of things to do in Corindi and beyond.
So you’ve landed on a coastal holiday, the beach is probably where you wanna start on your first morning. Lucky for you, Corindi Beach is a short stroll away from Reflections Corindi. Two offshore reefs take the edge off the swell here, so the water stays calm enough for a relaxed morning dip. If you’ve got little ones with you, the rockpools at each end are worth a poke around. Make sure to grab a coffee from Koko’s Cafe on Pacific Street on your way past, or bring it down to the sand with you.
Once you’ve had your fill of the water, follow the walking trails through Corindi Beach Reserve. The path winds north through banksia scrub and wetland forest to Pipeclay Lake, where kangaroos and black cockatoos are common sightings and there's a shaded spot to unpack a picnic. From the lake, it's a short stroll up to Corindi Beach Headland for a lookout over the water before the afternoon winds down.
Come evening, check whether any food vans have pulled up at the holiday park, or wander over to The Shop for supplies and cook up something simple on the camp kitchen BBQ. Not a bad way to spend a first night.

A short drive north brings you to Red Rock Headland, a striking 300-million-year-old jasper formation with sweeping views across the Corindi River mouth. Time it right between June and October and you've got a genuine chance of spotting whales from the clifftop, with dolphins a regular bonus.
From the headland, the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk runs south along the beach, past Corindi Beach and on towards Woolgoolga. Check the tide before you set off, it’s easiest to walk during low tide.
Time your visit right and you'll land on the second Saturday of the month, when the Woolgoolga Beach Markets set up along the reserve with local produce, handmade goods and plenty to browse. Follow it up with fish and chips from Seasalt, as the sun begins to fade. Best served sitting along the sand, to eat dinner the local way.

Start at the Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre, just up Red Rock Road from the park. The Wadjar Regional Indigenous Gallery and the Jalumbo Cultural Heritage Keeping Place offer a real insight into Gumbaynggirr culture and history. Stop for a coffee on the veranda at the bush tucker café before you move on.
From there drive 30 minutes south to Look At Me Now Headland at Emerald Beach. You’ll be met with a short and easy walking loop where eastern grey kangaroos graze close to the track and whales are a common sight through winter and spring. Pack a picnic lunch and take your time here.
On the way back, take the short detour to Arrawarra Headland, only 15 minutes from Corindi Beach. Quiet coves and wide views across the Solitary Islands Marine Park make the short detour worthwhile. Keep an eye out for the stone fish traps, still used by the Gumbaynggirr people today. Wrap up the day with a paddle on Pipeclay Lake or the Corindi River estuary, the calm water is the perfect way to end three days well spent.

If you’re keen to keep the adventure going, there's more to explore just 30 minutes south. Coffs Harbour offers more breathtaking beaches, great shopping and a bustling town centre. Or head north to historic Grafton, where you’ll discover jacaranda lined streets putting on a purple show come springtime.
Whether you’re a laid-back, sand in your toes, book in hand kind of wanderer, or you like to get out and active with all that your getaway has to offer, Corindi accommodates every pace. Swim at the beach, walk the reserve trails, cast a line in the river estuary or claim a spot on the headland and watch with anticipation for a whale to surface. Wondering what to do in Corindi beyond the itinerary above? Here's a closer look.
