Picture a peacefully burbling river, winding through rolling green hills peppered with sheep, goats and native wildflowers. That’ll give you an idea of how naturally beautiful and untouched the Reflections Wee Jasper campground is. Wee Jasper Holiday Park is what lovers of true bush camping dream about – a blissful escape into nature with outdoor adventures galore.
There's world-class hiking, an abundance of walking trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, and plenty of places to go fishing across four interconnected reserves, each with their own character and unique offerings.
As any regular camper knows, location is key to an amazing experience. Wee Jasper Caravan Park is blessed with an incredible setting at Trailhead – on native bushland at the start of Hume and Hovell Walking Track, which is renowned for great bushwalking, awesome birdwatching and many hiking options.
The facilities in the campgrounds are for outdoor adventurers who want a true-blue authentic camping experience, where the real frills are supplied by Mother Nature.
Get the BBQ cranking for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the kids get off their gadgets and explore the surrounding bushland with their furry friend in tow.
Roast marshmallows over a firepit (always check fire restrictions) and do some stargazing while planning the next day's adventures.
Your Wee Jasper campsite will be in one of four, unpowered and unmarked, separate reserves that are all dog-friendly. Plus, some are equipped with warm showers and flushing toilets. Now that's what you call barefoot bush luxury! All of the unpowered sites are ideal for campers, caravans and tents, and as the sites are unmarked, they're perfect for extra-large vans.
All reserves are within a five-minute drive from one other, and three of them are on the river, with Fitzpatrick Reserve at the Trailhead (of the same name) of the famous Hume and Hovell track.
Billy Grace Reserve is right on the Goodradigbee River where it meets Wee Jasper Creek, and as the largest reserve and main hub of Reflections Wee Jasper, it has the reception and kiosk, hot showers and flushing toilets.
It's also home to a children's playground, BBQ area, picnic tables, and the dump point and rubbish compound, making it an ideal camping spot for first-time campers and families with kids.
Over at Micalong Creek Reserve on the banks of Micalong Creek, there are plenty of walking trails, and large flat sites with trees offering lots of shade.
Micalong is the most popular spot for campers, as it's home to the refreshing Micalong Swimming Hole, and in Autumn the falling leaves make it an Instragrammers' dream.
Three kilometres from Billy Grace Reserve is Swinging Bridge Reserve – the smallest of the reserves on the banks of the stunning Goodradigbee River.
There are flushing toilets but no showers, making for a more traditional camping spot that is known for its great fishing. You could catch a trout, redfin or carp here!
Swinging Bridge Reserve has lovely flat campsites that are perfect for camping, caravans, and motorhomes of all sizes.
Finally, there's Fitzpatrick Trackhead Reserve, which has easy access to bushwalking trails and the Hume & Hovell Walking Track. It also has access to Wild Caves, which is one for the bucket list, if you're an experienced caver. It has no riverside access, however it's a short walk to Billy Grace Reserve, which has access to the water, and it’s a hotspot for birdwatching.
This popular reserve also has hot showers, flushing toilets, undercover picnic tables and public barbeques, and it is the only reserve at Wee Jasper caravan park with a disabled access bathroom.
If you're an avid explorer who loves getting below the Earth's surface, book a tour of Carey’s Caves, which is only a few kilometres up the road from your Wee Jasper accommodation.
There are display tables inside the caves where visitors can handle samples of different types of crystal formations and engage in activities such as learning how to grow stalactites and stalagmites. The kids will love it!
Of course, the adventurer's dream trail in the Hume & Hovell Trail, is right on your doorstep - with over 426 kilometres of trail to explore.
For those after a good coffee, a cocktail, or a gin and vodka tasting, head over to Wee Jasper Distillery which is just over the bridge in Wee Jasper Village.
For art and music lovers, the Dragon Dreaming Festival will run from October 3 until October 6 2025. It is an eclectic, alternative festival focussed on performance, art installation and lifestyle workshops. It's a lot of fun for the whole family.
A 25-minute drive along Caves Road will have you at gorgeous Lake Burrinjuck, also known as Burrinjuck Dam.
For anyone who loves fishing, boating and water sports such as kayaking, jet-skiing, and windsurfing, this place is heaven, and Reflections Burrinjuck Waters sits right on its shores.
An hour-long scenic drive will have you in Tumut, in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. It's known for outdoor adventures as well, with fly-fishing and mountain biking being popular activities.
