A tranquil paradise where you can pick your spot, set up, and just take in the nature that abounds around you, a holiday at Billy Grace Reserve is one for the soul. This reserve features large flat unpowered sites, perfect for any camping or caravanning setup, and we can accommodate extra-large rigs. Billy Grace Reserve is the main reserve within Wee Jasper, and features the main office and kiosk, hot showers, flushing toilets and a children's playground. There is also a large flat area nearer the entrance, perfect for larger groups like school tours, caving groups, and campouts. Billy Grace Reserve is situated right on the Goodradigbee River where it meets Wee Jasper Creek, and it is also the largest reserve at Wee Jasper. With its facilities and convenience, Billy Grace is the perfect place for first-time campers or young families as there are picnic tables and public barbeques available for use. As the main hub of the reserves, Billy Grace Reserve has plenty of shade and resources including the caravanning/RV dump point and rubbish compound.

Can I bring more than 1 car?

There is a 1 car per booking rule.

Can I bring more than one vehicle?

Booking reservations are now limited to “1 Vehicle (towing or not) per booking” plus the number of adults and children. This is to ensure everyone has plenty of room to enjoy the Reserves this summer.

What time is check in/check out at the park?

Check-in is from 11am, and checkout is 10am. Check-in and check-out is done at the office in Billy Grace Reserve.

What should I bring for my stay?

Preparing for a holiday can be a massive journey in itself, at Reflections Holiday Parks our aim is to ensure guests are as well equipped as possible before hitting the open road.

There are no services at Wee Jasper NSW, other than the small park kiosk. The closest services for fuel and supplies (groceries) is Yass 1hrs drive from Wee Jasper

We strongly recommend that you pack all essential items before entering the valley of Wee Jasper. This also means that there is no liquor license holder in Wee Jasper.

We also recommend packing a torch and spare batteries, your trusty First Aid Kit, plenty of Insect Repellant, Sun Screen and Hats to keep you sun safe and rubbish bags to keep the park tidy for the next guests on your site.

Oh, and don’t forget the tent pegs too!!

Is your reserve dog friendly?

Wee Jasper is dog-friendly all year round on all sites. Up to 2 dogs can be booked online, by phone, or in park.

Please note it is your responsibility to control your dog, making sure that it is kept on a lead at all times, cleaned up after, and that your dog is not causing an impact on other campers within the reserves, wildlife or additional pets on the reserves.

At no time is your dog permitted on the properties neighbouring the reserves. These neighbouring properties may use 1080 fox bait to control pests at particular times of the year.

Arriving after hours?

No problem, outside the Reserve office you will find a late arrivals box , there you will find your arrival pack with your name on it.

What are the road conditions like to Wee Jasper?

The roads from Yass and Canberra are suitable for all vehicles. If you are travelling from Tumut please check road conditions and be mindful that from Tumut roads are about 65% unsealed and can be narrow – they are also frequented by large trucks associated with numerous hardwood & pine plantations in the surrounding area.

The Tumut road is not recommended for caravans, long vehicles or low vehicles. If you have any concerns about this road please contact the Yass or Tumut Information Centres.

What are the fire rules at Wee Jasper?

No fires are allowed between 1 October and 1 April. Between 1 April and 30 September, fires are only allowed in raised firepits. Please do not remove rocks from the river or streams to contain fires.

Billy Grace Reserve is also a Yass Valley LGA Neighbourhood Safer Place for the RFS

Do you sell fuel?

There is no fuel in Wee Jasper NSW. The closest petrol station is located in Yass NSW. Please make sure that your vehicle is full before entering the valley of Wee Jasper.

Can I get phone reception at Wee Jasper

As of 2018, Wee Jasper - Billy Grace Reserve now has phone Telstra reception. This is a Telstra tower and your phone may receive reception at all of the reserves. Please remember that conditions of service can change and you may get enough reception to send a text or answer a call, but the internet and 4G may be effected.

Phone reception can be made with only Telstra at our Billy Grace Reserve, all our other reserves do not have reception.

Where are the nearest shops, cafes and restaurants?

There are no services at Wee Jasper NSW other than the kiosk at Billy Grace Reserve. The Wee Jasper Shop stocks an array of non-perishables we also refill LPG bottles and sell Ice and Peters ice creams.

The closest services and shopping centre in Yass NSW. We strongly recommend that you pack all essential items before entering the valley of Wee Jasper.

How do I get to Wee Jasper?

Wee Jasper is about an hour from Yass, Tumut and Canberra, and is easily accessed from the Hume Highway, outer Canberra and the Snowy Mountains Highway.

From Yass

If travelling via the Hume Highway, you can get to Wee Jasper from Yass – turn off into Yass town and follow the signs along Wee Jasper Road.

All Reserves (except Carey’s) are south of Wee Jasper village, so turn left at the ‘T’ intersection in the village until you get to the next ‘T’ intersection (Nottingham/Tumut Road) – then follow the signs to the various Reserves.

To get to Carey’s Reserve take a right turn at the ‘T’ intersection in the village and follow the road for about 3 kms – the reserve is on your right. NOTE; Camping is now prohibited and the reserve, and is for day use and launching of vessels only.

All Reserves (except Carey’s) are south of Wee Jasper village, so turn left at the ‘T’ intersection in the village until you get to the next ‘T’ intersection (Nottingham/Tumut Road) – then follow the signs to the various Reserves.

To get to Carey’s Reserve take a right turn at the ‘T’ intersection in the village and follow the road for about 3 kms – the reserve is on your right.

For the adventurous you can also get to Wee Jasper via Brindabella Road, it is mostly only suitable for 4×4 vehicles or off-road motorcyles.
