Where is Shaws Bay, NSW?

Shaws Bay is a picturesque tidal bay, formed when the northern wall of the Richmond River was built near the river entrance. Situated in East Ballina, Shaws Bay is an easy 2-hour drive from Brisbane.

Is Shaws Bay dog friendly?

Shaws Bay is a dog-free zone.There are plenty of off leash areas around Ballina including The Spit and Seven Mile Beach in Ballina plus there is access to the river off leash dog friendly area just 1km away from our park entrance.

Can you swim in Shaws Bay?

Shaws Bay is a calm tidal bay with shallow waters making it the ideal swimming spot for families. Our Park is also an easy 1km to the nearest surf beach which is patrolled in peak holiday times.

Is the park dog-friendly?

Shaws Bay Holiday Park is dog-friendly all year round on both powered and unpowered sites. Up to 2 dogs can be booked online, by phone, or in park.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check in for powered and unpowered sites is from 11am and check out is 10am. If you plan to arrive after office hours (8am – 6pm) please let us know so that we can have all relevant documents waiting for your arrival.
