Yarrila Arts and Museum

Located on Gumbaynggirr Country in the heart of the Coffs Harbour CBD, Yarrila Arts and Museum (YAM) is a vibrant cultural hub within Yarrila Place. The name Yarrila (pronounced YA-re-la) is a Gumbaynggirr word meaning illuminate, brighten or light up—reflecting YAM's vision to shine a light on art, history, culture and community creativity. YAM features five exhibition spaces showcasing a diverse program of art, social history and natural history exhibitions. At its heart is Yaamanga Around Here, a fascinating permanent exhibition exploring the people, stories and identity of the Coffs Coast through objects, artworks and multimedia displays. Visitors can also discover a changing program of local, regional and touring exhibitions alongside innovative digital installations that push the boundaries of storytelling. With exhibitions changing regularly, YAM offers a fresh and engaging cultural experience for visitors exploring the Coffs Coast.
