Thanks to the community for your feedback about Reflections Lake Burrendong. We have listened and are taking action based on what you have told us; some attention is needed. This page shares the latest updates on maintenance and operational improvements across the park.
Reflections has completed the tender process for major roadworks across the park, including pothole repairs and the reconstruction of key roads in the LTC precinct.
A contractor has been appointed, and we are now waiting for confirmation of the start date. We will update this page as soon as the timing is locked in.
The scope of road replacement works includes 520 metres of road within the LTC precinct (refer to red section), and 240 metres along Fashions Mount Road leading towards the boat ramp (refer to blue section).

Grant funding was secured for boat ramp repairs; however, the project could not proceed due to unresolved landowner consent and licensing issues with WaterNSW, despite completion of planning, design, and approvals.
Reflections previously purchased 100 tonnes of road base, and the park team have been using this to level off the edge of the boat ramp as the dam level recedes. The last time this work was done was in January 2026.
While this helps improve access in the short term, it is a temporary measure, as material can wash away when water levels rise or during periods of heavy runoff. We continue to explore options for a more permanent solution, however progress remains on hold until such time. In the meantime, the team will continue to monitor the condition of the boat ramp and carry out the temporary maintenance as needed.
We completed some minor maintenance work in one of the amenities blocks; however, further upgrades have been identified as a priority and are planned for inclusion in the next financial year budget. Scoping and prioritisation of funds towards the investment into amenities blocks is now being reviewed by the Asset Management team.
After three years in the role, the previous Park Manager resigned to join our internal Relief Management program. A long-term staff member is currently acting in the role.
Over the past 12 months, Reflections has experienced significant increases in the costs associated with operating and maintaining our parks, including insurance, utilities, maintenance, contractor services and general park operations. Following an industry price review, together with the increased costs, this has meant that an annual site fee increase is necessary to help ensure the ongoing operation, maintenance, and long-term sustainability of our parks, including continued investment in facilities and guest services.
