  • Emerald Beach to Moonee Beach: An easy to moderate 8 km one-way adventure that many locals and visitors do as a day walk for its mix of beach walking and headland tracks. However, check the tide warnings for the Moonee Creek crossing so you don’t get caught out!
  • Moonee Beach to Park Beach: A moderate walk, around 11km one-way, that passes Green Bluff headland and littoral rainforest – a good option for stronger walkers.
  • Woolgoolga to Moonee Beach: For those wanting a longer coastal day, check out this moderate walk that’s a little over 15 km one-way (around 3 to 3.5 hours).

Yuraygir Coastal Walk

Picking up where the Solitary Islands Walk leaves off, the Yuraygir Coastal Walk starts at Red Rock and is a 65 km multi-day hike north along the pristine Northern NSW coastline. It passes through small towns, empty beaches and rocky headlands, taking around 4 or 5 days.

In fact, you can combine the two trails to form a 125km, six-day coastal hike from Coffs Harbour all the way up to Yamba.

Both are rated easy to moderate, with a mix of beach walking, headland tracks and paved paths.
