Charcoal sketching invites you to slow down and reconnect - with the paper, your breath and the steady rhythm of your hand. In this calming workshop, you'll explore the soulful simplicity of black and white while finding depth in the details.
You will gently be guided through understanding the unique flow and feel of charcoal, exploring mark-making with light, pressure, and movement, blending, smudging and erasing with intention, as well as creating contrast, shape and shadow that tells a story.
You'll leave with a finished piece that's as much about what you felt as what you drew. It's not about perfection—it's about presence.

Come as you are, no previous experience required. You will be provided with everything you need to create your artwork, including an apron to protect your clothing.
While creating your artwork, you'll be provided with a delightful morning tea and a selection of hot beverages, which is included in the cost of your ticket.
This is an adults' workshop, however children aged 12 plus are welcome to join with adult supervision.
