Discover Lake Keepit - A true country camping oasis

You know you've hit NSW's big sky country when you're camping in Lake Keepit and have a million stars sparkling above you when night falls.

Reflections Lake Keepit is a truly scenic family-friendly holiday park near Gunnedah and Tamworth, where it's all about having a relaxing getaway filled with water sports, fishing, bushland experiences and some of the best stargazing in the country.

Accommodation Options at Reflections Lake Keepit

Keepit Dam camping offers guests a huge range of options to suit all kinds of set-ups and preferences, whether you have a camper, caravan, campervan, tent or swag. Feel free to bring your furry friend as well, as two dogs are allowed per booking for all campsites.

For those who like to pull up and plug into power, the powered sites are great for caravans, motorhomes, campervans, and tents, with some boasting astro turf, while others are grassy. The concrete slab sites are ideal for those after a hassle-free set-up on even ground, but they are not suitable for tents. They all have water and grey water disposal drains.

There are two powered ensuite sites with double slabs, and all sites can accommodate six people and set-ups of up to 8 metres, including the drawbar. They are suitable for all rigs including vehicles with rooftop tents, except tents and swags.

For a more back-to-nature camping experience at Keepit Dam, there are 30 allocated standard unpowered sites in the main park area along the foreshore. They are for up to six guests, and are ideal for tents and small campervans.

Finally, If you prefer your own space while having a more true-blue ,dog-friendly camping experience, there are unpowered unallocated bush camping sites on the eastern foreshore.

Reflections Lake Keepit's Park facilities and amenities

Lake Keepit ticks all the boxes when it comes to park facilities. Ample amenity block/s (plus accessible amenities), and the Reflections Lake Keepit's café and kiosk selling hot food, groceries, drinks, snacks, ice, fishing gear and bait, means convenience is at your fingertips.

For the more active guests, camping in Lake Keepit can be as action-packed as you like, as there's a full- and half-sized tennis court, volleyball set-up, BMX and skate park, a splash park, and two playgrounds.

For the fishers out there, the park has a boat ramp and fish cleaning facilities, and you might snag a cod, yellow-belly, catfish, carp or some shrimp in these parts.

Sometimes we can't avoid chores, and when the clothes need a wash, the on-site laundry (get your tokens at the park office).

The Lake Keepit experience: adventure off the beaten track

If you like your camping with a big dose of laidback country vibes, some lakeside serenity in a bushland setting, and water sports galore at your fingertips, Lake Keepit camping is for you.

The family-friendly, dog-friendly park is the perfect place to base yourself for fishing, boating, and getting amongst nature.

You can enjoy stargazing without leaving Reflections Lake Keepit, but if you want to raise the bar, visit Warrumbungle National Park, which is Australia's first Dark Sky Park. It's home to the Sliding Spring Observatory –Australia's premier optical and infrared astronomical observatory.

For an awesome photo in NSW's big sky country, visit Barraba Silo Art – which is a scenic one-hour drive away. The three silos were painted by artist Fintan Magee in April 2019 and were the 28th set of silos to join the Australian Silo Art Trail.

If you've been dreaming of a camping trip where you can truly switch off, while having fun in the great outdoors, book your spot at Reflections Lake Keepit and you'll see what all the fuss is about.
