As well as great views (who doesn’t love to camp on the banks of a scenic river?), this top spot is ideal for all kinds of water activities, from swimming to kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

Fancy a bit of fishing? You are going to love it here. You can even launch your boat from the onsite boat ramp. And if visiting in winter, make sure to join a whale watching tour, they leave from the tiny, picturesque harbour which is just minutes away.

There’s plenty to do on land as well, like walking in the littoral rainforests of nearby Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve. Or, take a hike up Mount Chincogan for breathtaking sunset views. Foodies will find a vibrant café and restaurant scene in and around Brunswick Heads, as well as fun shops, and the legendary Hotel Brunswick. You can even walk into town through the nature reserve, which takes about 20 minutes.

No matter what your camping style, Ferry Reserve has got you covered. Our spacious sites are all close to spotless amenities and either near to, or right on, the riverbank. That means taking a refreshing dip, paddling out on a kayak or launching your boat couldn’t be easier.

Generous standard powered sites suit all set ups, including motorhomes and caravans up to 12 metres. Options include single slab, double slab and grass options.

Travelling with a tent, camper trailer or campervan? Premium powered tent sites are waterfront, and will lend a natural feel to your Ferry Reserve camping experience while letting you stay connected. There are standard powered tent sites too, with filtered river views.

If you want to be on the river and don’t need power, our grassy premium unpowered sites have your name on them. And standard unpowered tent sites are only one row back!

And did we mention all of our camp sites at Ferry Reserve are dog friendly, with up to two furry friends per campsite.

Having a boat ramp onsite makes fishing and pleasure boating a breeze. And fresh fish never tastes as good as when you’ve caught it yourself. Make the most of the park’s fish cleaning facilities, then cook up your catch on the barbecue in the camp kitchen. You will also find a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and picnic tables to enjoy your meal. Plus, there’s a ping pong table for after dinner (or anytime) recreation.

It’s an easy walk, ride or drive into town to pick up supplies. But you can also pick up essentials like ice creams, drinks, snacks and bait in the onsite kiosk. Need to do a load of washing? No problem, that’s what our onsite laundry is for. What about washing the dog? That’s easy too, just pop them in the designated dog bath!
