A ten minute stroll from the entrance to Eurobodalla National Park will find you at Pooles Beach. Continue along the bush track for 50 minutes to 1080 Beach (pronounce it like the locals, ‘ten-eighty’). Return the way you came or at low tide it may be possible to reach Mystery Bay via the shoreline, traipsing over the rocks. For this route, take the stepped boardwalk down to the beach and go north around the headland and along a broken and rocky section of the coast. At Mystery Bay, take the opportunity to walk out on Boat Harbour Point, a rocky outcrop linked by a sandbar.
