Our Board

NSW Crown Holiday Parks Land Manager, trading as Reflections Holidays, is overseen by a skills-based Board, which was originally appointed on 1 July 2015 until 30 April 2020.

On 1 May 2020, four new Directors were appointed following a search and public advertising process. Members bring a wealth of expertise, skills and knowledge in corporate governance, financial management, tourism, legal, environmental management and community engagement. On 1 May 2024, Julie Osborne stepped up as board chair, and we welcomed 2 new board members.

On 23 June, 2025, we welcomed three new board directors.

Julie Osborne

Chair

BEc, LLM, GAICD

Julie Osborne brings to the Board extensive experience across a range of sectors including financial services, insurance and not-for-profit. She also brings strong business development credentials having consulted for the last 3.5 years in this regard to KPMG.

Ms Osborne is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. In addition, she has completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.

Currently, Ms Osborne serves on the Boards of Police Bank, Assetinsure Pty Limited and the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and Auto & General Insurance Company Limited. She also chairs the Audit and Compliance Committees at Assetinsure and the Woolcock. Ms Osborne is a past member of the Summerland Financial Services Limited Board and the Starlight Children’s Foundation NSW Advisory Board.

Previously, Ms Osborne was an Executive Director at Westpac Banking Corporation for 15 years where she led the Structured Finance business within the Treasury Division and served on various Westpac Group subsidiary companies in Australia and the United States.

She is passionate about the preservation of greenspace for present and future generations having been involved in community advisory committees for Centennial Parklands and the Sydney Football Stadium.

Ms Osborne has been appointed to the NSW Crown Holiday Park Land Manager Board for a term of 5 years from 1 May 2020 and has been appointed as the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.

John King OAM

Director

John King brings experience of a 48 year background in highly successful and widely recognised international tourism marketing and management.

For most of his tourism career he has been responsible for the development and management of successful destination marketing and development strategies, a number of which have been recognised with international awards. For 20 years he owned an international tourism consultancy through which he worked as an adviser to governments, multilateral agencies, tourism authorities, industry organisations and companies principally throughout Australia, Asia, Pacific and the Middle East.

He is widely recognised for his work particularly in the fields of Indigenous tourism, wine and food tourism and destination brand development.

He has served on a wide range of industry and company Boards. He was Chairman of Tourism Tasmania, for nine years and Chairman of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) for a similar time. He is the Australian Tourism Minister’s nominee to the Board of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park and was the NSW Minister for the Environment’s tourism appointee to the Board of Management of Lord Howe Island. He was appointed in 2011 by the NSW State Government as one of four members of the Visitor Economy Taskforce responsible for developing the Government’s NSW Visitor Economy Plan. He was also Chairman of Southern Travel Holdings with major tourism operations in New Zealand, Australia and Asia.

He has been invited to speak at numerous international conferences, including the United Nations World Tourism Organisation conference on Pilgrimage Tourism (Santigo de Compostela), the UNWTO/UNESCO First World Conference on Heritage Tourism (Siem Reap), and was key note speaker at the World Indigenous Tourism Conference (Vancouver). He has also served on the Board of the Pacific Asia Travel Association and was an advisor to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation

In 2011 he was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for his contribution to tourism in Australia. In addition he received the 2010 Pacific Asia Travel Association Award of Merit for Tourism leadership, and is an Honorary Fellow of Southern Cross University in recognition for his contribution to tourism education and research.

Mr King has been appointed to the NSW Crown Holiday Park Land Manager Board for a term of 5 years from 1 May 2020.

Lyndel Gray

Director

Lyndel Gray has had a long career in the Australian tourism industry and most recently was the Chief Executive Officer of the NSW Caravan, Camping and Manufactured Housing Industry Association, a role she held for 13 years. 

Lyndel was Executive Director Tourism at Destination NSW following the merger of the State's Tourism and Major Events agencies, after heading up Tourism NSW for three years from 2008 to 2011. 

Prior to joining Tourism NSW, she was Executive General Manager, Western Hemisphere, at Tourism Australia, and responsible for its Americas, UK/Europe, New Zealand, South Africa and Middle East operations. 

Lyndel also held senior executive roles with Tourism Australia in the USA for 14 years, from 1987 to 2001, based in New York and Los Angeles. 

Lyndel's significant contribution to the Industry was recently acknowledged when she was awarded the Outstanding Contribution by an Individual at the 2024 NSW Tourism Awards.

Lyndel is Chair of Destination Sydney Surrounds South and also a member of the Board of Surfing NSW, where she holds the role of Deputy Chair.

Hon. Adam Marshall

Director

Adam Marshall is a highly experienced former NSW Government Minister and regional leader with deep expertise in public policy, stakeholder engagement and regional development.

Over more than a decade in State Parliament (2013 to 2024) as the Member for Northern Tablelands, Adam held key ministerial portfolios including Agriculture, Tourism and Major Events, TAFENSW and Western NSW.

Adam has a strong track record of delivering results for rural and regional communities, championing infrastructure investment and reform across tourism, primary industries and vocational education sectors. As Minister for Tourism and Major Events, he drove regional visitor growth and worked closely with industry and government stakeholders to position NSW as Australia’s premier destination for major events.

Before entering Parliament, Adam was Mayor of Gunnedah Shire Council and held several other senior roles across the local government sector, including Chairman of the NSW Country Mayors Association and Senior Vice President of Local Government NSW.

Alongside his government and professional leadership, Adam continues to be an active contributor to regional development initiatives and local community organisations. He currently serves on the board of the New England Regional Art Museum and the Northern Inland Academy of Sport and is a life member and patron of multiple regional organisations.

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Adam brings a strategic mindset, political acumen and proven leadership to roles focused on delivering positive social, economic and environmental outcomes.

Mick Veitch

Director

Mick Veitch brings to the Board nearly 30 years’ experience in public life, serving 16 years in the NSW Legislative Council, where he was a Shadow Minister for 12 years.

Mick has held the portfolios of Trade and Investment, Industry and Regional Development, Crown Lands, Water, Primary Industries and Regional NSW and chaired many parliamentary inquiries and public hearings, public meetings, council meetings and board meetings.

With a proven record in public life of excelling in complex and complicated environments where strategic engagement has been required to build platforms for critical progress, he has also served as an elected Councillor with Young Shire Council for 12 years including a term as Deputy Mayor. 

Mick has resided in regional NSW most of his life and his knowledge and understanding of the complex issues facing regional NSW has been publicly acknowledged by many. Mr Veitch is an experienced and trusted advisor and active community advocate. 

He completed his schooling at Adelong and then Tumut, and he has completed a Master of Leadership at Deakin University, where he attained the Deans Merit Award.

Having completed the Company Directors Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, he has previously served on several government boards where he has been a Deputy Chair of the board and chair of a Risk and Audit Committee.

Mick is the former CEO of a regional not for profit, was the General Manager (Growth and Strategy) at Job Centre Australia Limited, and has served as a Company Secretary. 

He was recently appointed by the NSW Government to serve on the Independent Forest Panel and is currently a consultant working in government relations and public advocacy.

Justin Hales

Director

Justin Hales is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of recreational vehicle marketplace provider Camplify Holdings Limited, which he founded in 2014.

His leadership has been central to the delivery of Camplify’s growth strategy, which has seen the company over time evolve into a leading ASX-listed peer-to-peer digital marketplace connecting owners of recreational vehicles to hirers wanting a ‘van experience’. Justin has overseen the successful expansion of Camplify’s Australian-based business and its move into offshore markets, with the company now having significant operations in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Spain and the most recent acquisition of the German peer-to-peer RV company, PaulCamper in Germany, The Netherlands and Austria. He has also been a driving force behind Camplify’s move into adjacent markets, including owner and hirer protection, van sales, GPS tracking services and additional product revenue lines.

Over the past two decades, Justin has become a recognised industry expert in digital, ecommerce, and marketplaces. He has lectured or presented on these topics at several major Australian universities and a host of industry seminars and events.

Sally Barnes

Director

Ms Sally Barnes brings a wealth of experience in public land and asset management and place and experience planning through leadership roles in the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Parks Australia and most recently the National Capital Authority in Canberra.

Sally has worked in Senior Executive positions for both the Commonwealth and NSW Governments for the last 25 years. She has helped shape state and Commonwealth marine and terrestrial conservation policies and protected areas - always with an eye on making them attractive and accessible for public use wherever possible. Sally has led large organisations such as the Office of Environment and Heritage with over 4,000 staff spread across NSW, and small bespoke planning and design agencies such as the National Capital Authority with 60 people.

Sally has shared Board responsibilities with elected traditional owners, commercial experts and tourism operators, marketing experts, planners and distinguished architects. In her role as Director of National Parks for the Australian Government she was a Board member on the Kakadu National Park Joint Management Board, the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park and Booderee National Park joint Boards of management. She was recently both Chief Executive and a Board member of the National Capital Authority. While working for the NSW Government she chaired the NSW Environmental Trust and was a member of the NSW State Contracts Control Board. Sally played a pivotal role in bringing the World Parks Congress with over 6,000 delegates to Sydney in 2014 and setting future directions for conservation and tourism in parks across the world.

Sally has driven meaningful community engagement in planning destinations and in the management of public places. Through the development of new products, improved marketing and respectful partnerships, Sally and her teams have increased visitation and customer satisfaction levels across a range of destinations. Her marketing team at the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service began the first on-line accommodation booking service on public land and were leaders in tracking visitation and peoples enjoyment of their experiences.

Sally has always been a big supporter of getting people out into nature. She has a keen interest in understanding the role immersion in nature can play in shaping good mental health.
