Historic Cowra Railway Station

Officially opened on the 2nd of October 1887, the Cowra Railway Station strikes an impressive figure in the Cowra countryside. A major stop on the Blayney - Demondrille line and Eugowra line junction, at the height of its prime Cowra was a major locomotive servicing point. It included inspection and ash pits, an engine house, coal stage and various facilities for the repair and maintenance of rolling stock. The Historic Cowra Railway Station is open for visitors on the last full weekend of every month when the Lachlan Valley Heritage Railway Society runs train rides.
