  • Premium Powered Sites – Larger sites with synthetic grass lawns, ideal for longer rigs or families who want extra space. These riverside sites can accommodate equipment up to 18.5 metres (including drawbar), and include sullage and water access.

From the lagoon, you can also embark on the highlight of Urunga: the famous 3.4 km Urunga Boardwalk. Wheelchair and pram-friendly, with rest stops along the way, the boardwalk winds through rivers and mangroves before reaching the Pacific Ocean. Yes, but it’s tidal, so check the tides first, as one time might be best for swimming, and another great for crab watching.

Bellingen is a 15-minute drive from Urunga, and it’s home to the River Sounds Festival – a two-day music extravaganza on the 4th and 5th of April, with over 50 acts across three stages. There’s always a huge array of diverse food operators, fun festival markets, art workshops and a licensed beer garden where you can kick back and soakup sunshine and tunes.

In November, Taranta Festival is aeclectic multicultural arts event in Bellingen with theatre, art and music workshops, storytelling, dance and music performances, as well as a vibrant street parade.

The Bellingen Growers Market is every Saturday morning (excluding the 3rd Saturday of the month) from 7.30 to 11.30 am at Bellingen Showgrounds, with local farmers, artisans and residents celebrating the abundance of produce that this fertile region is renowned for.
