John Dodd Park

John Dodd Park, on the southern edge of town, has a pirate-ship theme playground and is fun for all ages. This park features a drinking fountain, playground, seating, bike track and lots of shady spots to sit back, relax and watch the children play. The Park has been named after John Brian Dodd (1934-1989), a local businessman who supported sports for young people: he was involved in the Swimming Club, he was a junior cricket coach and rugby league referee and played squash, golf and touch football. The Park is just off Wandobah Road into Tallowood Drive as you head south toward the Gunnedah Rugby Club.
