Carcoar Hospital Museum is housed in one of the earliest colonial hospital buildings in Australia. Built to the design of architect Edward Gell and funded by community fundraising, with Government assistance, at a cost of £2,400, the hospital was opened in 1861. It now contains a unique collection of hospital and medical items.
The Museum is usually open on Thursdays (it is advisable to check first). To arrange a visit at other times, please contact them. Groups are very welcome.
