Camping Near Brunswick Heads

Experience the best of Brunswick Heads

Dreaming of escaping it all? Keen to catch a wave, paddle a kayak or simply kick back on a beautiful beach? Fantasising about immersing yourself in pristine nature, but don’t want to sacrifice your morning latte? Book a camping trip in Brunswick Heads, NSW and you will discover that dreams can come true.

A magnet for water lovers and nature enthusiasts, Brunswick Heads is sprawled along the banks of the picturesque Brunswick River, and surrounded by sheltered coves, bushland, and surf beaches. Just 90 minutes from Brisbane, this atmospheric village may be small, but it’s big on coastal charm, and infused with that wonderful laidback Northern Rivers vibe that puts you straight into holiday mode.

With a fantastic riverfront setting just moments from the beach, Reflections Brunswick Heads is your go-to camping (or glamping) spot, with an endless array of water activities literally on your doorstep. Roll out of bed in the morning and cast a line from the riverbank; watch the sunrise from an SUP; or wander over the footbridge to find a wave. And if you can’t face the day without a perfectly brewed coffee, take your pick from the string of sunny sidewalk cafes right across the road. There’re also the nearby bush trails of Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve and North Head to explore, and famous Byron Bay just a short drive away.

Thanks to a mild climate, Brunswick Heads makes a top camping spot year-round. Come in the winter for endless chances to spot humpback whales right from the shore or join a whale watching boat from Brunswick Heads Harbour.

Your outdoor home away from home

Staying on one of our Brunswick Heads camping sites puts you right in the thick of all the action, with easy access to the village and a handy footbridge to the beach.

Whether you want to pitch a tent, park a campervan, or plan on bringing the full rig, there’s a campsite with your name on it. From our standard powered campsites (perfect for all camping setups, and with single slabs, double slabs, and grass options),. Make sure to check out the premium sites — the river views are gorgeous, and slabs will take a 7-metre van.

Our Brunswick Heads camping ground has everything you need to feel right at home, including a laundry and immaculate amenity blocks. You can whip up a tasty meal in the well-equipped camp kitchen and grill the fish you just caught (or bought,) on the barbecue. If you can drag the kids out of the water, they will have a blast in the playground in adjacent Terrace Park. And forget lugging around piles of equipment. You can rent SUP boards, kayaks and go karts straight from reception.

Sun, sand and unforgettable adventures await

Prepare to be blown away by the incredible waterfront scenery, and to enjoy it on your terms at our beautiful Brunswick Heads camping grounds. No matter what rocks your holiday boat, you will find endless activities in Brunswick Heads both on and off the water.

Long sandy beaches are ideal for early morning strolls. Take a dip in the river or ocean, discover an underwater wonderland on a dive trip, sign up for a scenic river cruise, or rent a tinny from Brunswick Head Boat Harbour for a spot of fishing on the river.

Prefer to chillax? Act like a local and hang out in the Brunswick River picnic area, or spend the day at Torakina Beach and Park with the kids. You can also pick up a bargain at the vibrant monthly market (first Saturday of each month,) check out the quirky boutiques and catch a lively show at the Brunswick Picture House.

Brunswick Heads also has some great restaurants to choose from. Grab a wood fired pizza at Saint Maries, tuck into tacos and margaritas at La Casita, or treat the kids to gelato at Bernardi’s. And don’t miss the beer garden at the beautiful old Hotel Brunswick. Overlooking the river this is a fantastic spot for a bistro meal and live music on the weekends. Best of all, if you are camping nearby at Brunswick Heads Reflections, you won’t need to designate a driver.

Need more reasons to come to Bruns? Did we mention Byron Bay is just down the road? Plus, there’s the whole lush hinterland with its national parks, rainforest, and waterfalls to explore.
