Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do at Norah Head Lighthouse and are not only incredibly invested in the lighthouse in the day-to-day workings, but also the long-term preservation of the lighthouse, as well as a wealth of local information about the Norah Head region.

New Volunteers welcome for:
Lighthouse Tower Tours
Volunteer to conduct tours of the magnificent Lighthouse Tower. Provide the link between past and present, sharing technical information and a rich history with visitors and guests.with training provided.
Lighthouse Reserve Shop:
Volunteers assist the Reserve selling souvenirs, ice creams, cold drinks and act as a information person for the Reserve for all of the Reserve’s visitors. Training is provided.
Coast Care
Volunteers are needed to bolster these ranks. This hardworking, friendly team of volunteers propagate and plant a variety of native vegetation plus control weed growth on the Lighthouse Reserve. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and maintain one of the most beautiful natural areas on the Coast.
