A new kiosk, The Curalo, has opened at Reflections Eden holiday park, on Yuin Country on the Sapphire Coast in southern New South Wales, serving up coffee, snacks and treats for its camping guests and the broader community.
The Curalo refers to the nearby lake of the same name, and Reflections Eden Park Manager Tiarne Cronk said the kiosk also referenced the kids’ activities room which operated near the reception area previously.
The Curalo was installed as a part of a refurbishment by Reflections of the holiday park’s reception.
“It was an obvious decision to add the kiosk to our new reception area because I have observed over time how many locals walk past our park, from walkers to cruise ship passengers to beachgoers,” Ms Cronk said.
“Last summer we had a temporary coffee van in the park and it was an instant hit, so we wanted to offer the service more permanently to our community.”
Ms Cronk said The Curalo sourced local products where possible: coffee beans are sourced from Pambula-based Wild Rye’s Roastery, which also supplies its bread, and South Coast Meats supplies ham for the daily panini. The Curalo serves coffee, milkshakes and beverages, panini, savoury croissants, muffins and banana bread. Basic pantry items are also stocked with more items to be added in coming months.
“We are excited to try and implement as many local products into our kiosk as possible to support and celebrate what our community has to offer," Ms Cronk said.
Reflections guests have embraced The Curalo and word is now filtering to residents.
“Locals who knew it was here came in, and what makes The Curalo unique is that we trade seven days, which is obviously handy – particularly on public holidays,” Ms Cronk said.
