Lake Glenbawn is located in the Upper Hunter region of NSW, around 15 minutes east of Scone and approximately 2.5 hours’ drive from Newcastle.
It’s an easy regional drive, making it a great day trip from Newcastle or a relaxed escape within the Hunter Valley.

With a Reflections Lake Glenbawn Annual Pass, you get unlimited day visits to one of the region’s best inland parks, just a short drive from Scone and Aberdeen. From fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming in the pool or BBQs and picnics, enjoy everything this location has to offer.
Annual passes can be purchased at the park or by calling for added convenience.
Flexible hours from 5am to 10pm mean you can pop in for an early fish, an afternoon on the water, or a sunset stroll. Accessing the park is a breeze—just use your code at the boom gate to get in and out for your day visits.

From calm mornings on the water to easy afternoons by the shore, there’s plenty to enjoy:


There are so many great areas to explore around the lake, take an easy stroll along the waterfront through natural bushland, where kangaroos and all kinds of birds call home, like wrens, colourful parrots, and even wedge-tailed eagles, or for a bit more of a challenge, tackle a few hill climbs. Perfect for soaking up the stunning views of the crystal-clear lake.

Grab the boat and drop in a line or fish from shore, with plenty of chances to reel in a variety of species. The freshwater lake is home to Golden Perch, Rainbow Trout, Silver Perch, Murray Cod, Catfish and the only inland park to have Bass.

The wine regions near Lake Glenbawn, just a short trip from Scone, are well worth a visit. This area is known for its laid-back vibe and top-notch wines, with Shiraz, Chardonnay, and Semillon among the highlights. You’ll find charming cellar doors where you can sample local drops, chat with the winemakers, and enjoy the stunning vineyard views—perfect for a relaxed day out.

You can park anywhere within the park. Please respect our overnight campers and cabin stay parkings.
Cars with boat trailers can be parked to the side of the boat ramps
Yes, you can use all park facilities. There are no codes on the amenity blocks at Lake Glenbawn.
You can bring up to 2 dogs per booking on a day pass - please keep your dogs on a leash at all times. Please abide by our Reflections dog policy whilst at the park.
The price is $10 per car/ motorbike for a limited time, whether booking online or purchasing at the park. Buses and minibuses may be subject to additional fees.
Yes, you can bring a boat or jetski and us our boat ramp to launch it. Please wear life jackets.

There are 2 boat ramps, maps are available from the office between 9am and 5pm, 7 days week, online here and also in a holder outside the office
The Lake Glenbawn Kiosk is open for hot food Fri/Sat/Sun 9am to 5pm outside school holidays. Guests can purchase anything else 9am to 5pm seven days week through the park reception.
The kiosk sells ice, ice creams, cold drinks, hot food, bait, fishing lures/ shirts, confectionary, small grocery line, coffee and milk shakes.
Small fires are permitted as long as there is no total fire ban in place.
Please use the code at the boomgate supplied at the time of purchase. Day visiotrs must leave the park by 10pm. Bookings are required for overnight stays.
