What’s happening?
In great news for the Red Rock community, construction of the long-awaited new stairs to Little Beach is expected to be completed in 2026. We are currently working with the Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC) and the Garby Elders to complete a cultural heritage site assessment.
Reflections is in regular contact with the Coffs Harbour LALC and is awaiting confirmation of a date for the site inspection and assessment ahead of work commencing. This is an important step to ensure the cultural heritage of this area is protected.
Who is doing this work?
With the sensitive coastal environment an important factor, we chose the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s Soil Conservation Service Division to undertake the detailed design of the stairs and manage the project’s delivery.
How long will the construction take?
Once work gets started, it’s expected that the construction will be completed within a matter of weeks.
