Wyangala Dam is located a short drive from Cowra at the junction of the Lachlan and Abercrombie Rivers. The lake is a clean, clear vast expanse of water. The surrounding area offers excellent accommodation and camping facilities. There are bungalows, cottages, cabins and even a couple of house boats. There are plenty of powered and unpowered grassy campsites and caravan sites and even a backwater camping area for the more adventurous.

There is a children’s playground, volleyball court and many walking trails through the bush to suit all levels of fitness.
