Bellevue Hill Reserve

Comprising a large space for unstructured recreation, playground equipment, shaded picnic facilities, free barbecues and public amenities, Bellevue Hill Reserve is one of Cowra's most popular parks. To many local residents, the Reserve is referred to as 'Billy Goat Hill' after its steep nature and the goats that were once kept there. At the top of the hill, you have a superb view of Cowra, which is nestled beside the meandering Galari Bila (Lachlan River). For Wiradjuri people, Billy Goat Hill is a sacred site with specific spots where men's and women's business took place. Bellevue Hill is also the location of the Cowra Nature Based Adventure Playground. The playground includes a nine-metre climbing frame, hamster wheel, water play area, slides, swings, a flying fox and an Indigenous dance circle and amphitheatre. Covered picnic and BBQ areas are also available so pack a picnic and enjoy what the great outdoors has to offer!
