This caravan park’s facilities include a camp kitchen, laundry, BBQs, a dog wash, a small kiosk at reception, and an accessible communal bathroom. What time is check in/check out at Ballina Caravan Park?

Check in for campsites at the park is from 11am, whilst cabins allow check in from 3pm onwards.

If you plan to arrive after office hours (8am - 6pm) please let us know so that we can have all relevant documents waiting for your arrival.

Checkout from both Sites and Cabins is 10am.

What should I bring for my stay in Ballina?

Preparing for a holiday can be a massive journey in itself, at Reflections Holidays our aim is to ensure guests are as well-equipped as possible before hitting the open road.

If you’re planning a stay in one of our cabins, we have many of the essentials covered, with linen, towels and kitchenware all provided. All you’ll need is some delicious treats, some comfy clothes, good company and a thirst for adventure.

For guests camping in your tent or setting up shop in your caravan , Ballina has a well-equipped camp kitchen, laundry and amenity blocks.

We also recommend packing a torch and spare batteries, your trusty First Aid Kit, plenty of insect repellent, sun screen and hats to keep you sun safe and rubbish bags to keep the park tidy for the next guests on your site.

Oh, and don’t forget the tent pegs too!!

Yes, Ballina Holiday Park is dog-friendly all year round on all sites and all cabins. Up to 2 dogs can be booked online, by phone or in the park.

What Park amenities and facilities are there at Reflections Ballina?

We have a camp kitchen, BBQ area, kiosk, laundry facility, dog wash area, boat ramp and amenities block/s. We are also wheelchair accessible with appropriate facilities.

Are fires allowed at Reflections Ballina?

No, unfortunately, we don't allow personal fires, firepits or communal firepits. However, we do have communal BBQs for you to enjoy.

Has Ballina got any good beaches?

Yes! Ballina has several fantastic beaches to enjoy. Lighthouse Beach (approximately a 5-minute drive) is a popular beach great for surfing and family-friendly swimming; it is also lifeguard patrolled, with dog-friendly areas, and nearby picnic spots. Shelly Beach (7-minute drive) is patrolled in summer and has a mix of surfing areas, rock pools, and shaded picnic areas, ideal for families and relaxed beachgoers. Sharpes Beach (10-minute drive) is a quieter beach, great for fishing, long walks, and dolphin spotting. The area connects to coastal walking trails and offers stunning scenic views. South Ballina Beach (15 minutes by car, or a short ferry ride) is known for its long, unspoiled stretches, popular among 4WD’ers and dog owners.

Are there any dog friendly beaches nearby?

Yes! The closest is Missingham Beach, a short walk from Reflections Ballina, located near the Richmond River’s mouth. This is a popular off-leash beach where dogs can roam freely on the sand and enjoy the water. Other dog friendly beaches are South Ballina Beach (15-minute drive), Lighthouse Beach Northern End (5-minute drive) and Sharpes Beach (10-minute drive). If in doubt, always check-in with what the locals are doing.

Is Ballina good for a holiday?

Absolutely! We’ve already mentioned the stunning beaches, there’s also a tonne of great outdoor activities, from cycling along Ballina’s scenic 25 km of cycle paths to fishing on the Richmond River. You can also enjoy whale watching, beach fishing, and even scenic flights over the coast. Ballina also has several rich cultural and historical attractions like the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum, showcasing the region’s maritime history, there’s also regular markets and art galleries to add to its cultural charm. Its proximity to iconic destination spots like Byron Bay (only 30 minutes north) and Lennox Head, making day trips easy. Nearby family-friendly amenities like the local Ballina Memorial Swimming Pool, complete with water slides, just adds to the fun.

Coffs Harbour is about 200 km south (2 hours drive) of Ballina.

The cheapest way to get from Ballina Byron Gateway Airport to Byron Bay is by taking a shuttle bus, with fares generally starting around $20 AUD one-way. Shuttle services, like the Ballina Byron Airport Shuttle, offer regular trips directly to Byron Bay, with discounts often available for online bookings or round-trip tickets. Other affordable transport options, yet slower, are the public bus (Bus Route 640 from Ballina to Byron Bay via Blanch’s Bus Company), costing around $5-10 AUD.
