There’s something special about slowing down by the sea, and Krystal Knight’s family getaway to Reflections Lennox Head was the perfect reminder of that. Nestled between the calm waters of Lake Ainsworth and the golden sands of Seven Mile Beach, Lennox Head offered the Knight family (Reflections Ambassadors) a blissful balance of adventure and rest — bike rides at sunset, lazy breakfasts by the cabin, and those rare, peaceful moments every parent cherishes. Follow their journey here:
We were lucky enough to enjoy a blissful little escape in beautiful Lennox Head with our family of 5…. exactly what our family needed to break up the school holidays!
We arrived just in time for golden hour and wandered down to the lake to get our bearings - kids on their bikes & families soaking in the last rays of sun. Dinner was at Slicks in town, where we ordered way too much (no regrets, though!).
The next morning started slow - coffee and breakfast take - away from The Kiosk to bring back to our cabin, followed by a morning at the beach right across the road!
We then headed back at our cabin & I took full advantage of the perfect-sized bath on the deck while watching the kids play out the front. A rare, peaceful pause - pure mum bliss.
That afternoon was all about simple pleasures: gelato in town at Lennox Gelato & coffee, a quick play at the park across the road, and another soak in the tub before a sunset walk.
The walk around Lake Ainsworth between 4:30–5:30 pm is pure magic!
The kids rode their bikes the whole way around while we soaked in that late-day light.
Dinner was an easy sausage sizzle with the BBQ at our cabin, and we finished the trip with one last morning ride to The Kiosk for coffee and a final swim at the lake with our paddle board - hearts full and batteries recharged!
However, we weren't quite ready, so on our drive home we had a quick look at the headland watching paragliders & a visit to Boulders beach before making our way back to reality!"
We can totally relate - that final glimpse in the rear view mirror can can be bittersweet There’s something about leaving Lennox Head that makes you want to turn the car around and stay just a little longer.
