The Cape Byron Walking Track is a mere 3 km from the family-friendly destination of Byron Bay. Starting from Main Beach, it extends through The Pass and Watego’s Beach to reach Cape Byron Lighthouse.

This scenic coastal walk is a favourite among locals and tourists alike. Take in the spectacular views from both Lennox Point and the Pat Morton Lookout. If you don’t mind tackling some steps, you can continue to Boulder Beach.

Get back in touch with nature on this short walk through pristine, coastal rainforest. Birdwatching is one of the highlights, with the chance to see the vibrant rainbow bee-eater, as well as eagles and kites.
The scenic coastal city of Coffs Harbour provides a central base to kick off many kid-friendly excursions.
This short but rewarding walk climbs up to Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve, just off the Coffs Harbour foreshore.

It feels like a real adventure heading over the causeway, and once you’re at the top, there are panoramic ocean views and plenty of seabirds to spot.

Coffs Creek Walk & Cycleway is an easy, flat shared path that follows Coffs Creek through shaded parklands, connecting playgrounds, picnic areas and open green spaces.

The Newcastle Memorial Walk is a short but striking walk along a steel walkway overlooking the ocean, commemorating WW1 soldiers.
Arrunga Bardo Walk is a peaceful bushland walk circling Lake Parramatta, with shaded paths and water views.
