Rain delays have unfortunately impacted the work schedule for the demolition of the former restaurant and managers’ residence at the entrance to Reflections Nambucca Heads.
The specialist contractor will be on site for an extra week due to rain delays which affected scaffold erection and the need for extra general waste removal.
The revised completion date is 16 December, 2025. The removal of asbestos-containing material is now expected to be completed next week with the building demolition planned for the following week.
On 15 and 16 December, the only activities on site will be the contractor wrapping up operations and removing its equipment from the site along with some mechanical works on the grounds.
We are pleased that despite the unavoidable delay, all works will be completed and the site made safe before the NSW summer school holidays start on Monday 22 December, 2025.
The remaining work to remove asbestos-containing materials will continue with the materials being paced in sealed heavy-duty plastic bags before it is removed from the building and taken for safe approved disposal.
The safety and wellbeing of the community, our staff and holiday park guests and residents are our main priority.
The work will also continue be carried out in line with the development application issued by Nambucca Valley Council and in accordance with SafeWork Australia guidelines.
