Things to do near Tuncurry

Tuncurry is a laid-back coastal town on the Mid North Coast, just over the bridge from Forster. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe in the salty air and spend your days outdoors. Wallis Lake is the star of the show — perfect for swimming, fishing or hiring a kayak to explore its calm waters. There are also plenty of walking tracks, picnic spots and local beaches to enjoy at your own pace.

A few easy ways to spend your time:

  • Take a dip at the calm Tuncurry Rock Pool, great for kids and morning swims.
  • Grab breakfast or lunch at the Rock Pool Café, right by the water.
  • Enjoy dinner or sunset drinks at The Deck Tuncurry, overlooking the marina.
  • Cast a line off one of the jetties or book a fishing charter for the day.
  • Stroll or cycle the bridge path into Forster for shops, ice cream and more lake views.

Tuncurry’s relaxed pace and easy access to nature make it a great base for families, couples or anyone after a simple seaside escape.
