ExplorerFest is taking over Reflections Jimmys Beach

Good times and even better vibes

If you’ve ever dreamed of running away for a weekend packed with outdoor adventures, chilled tunes, good food, and even better company — this is it. ExplorerFest is landing at Reflections Jimmys Beach from May 2–4, and it’s going to be an epic weekend on the sand.

This isn’t your average camping trip. The legends at We Are Explorers have rented out the entire holiday park — yep, the whole thing — and are filling it with three days of hiking, kayaking, wild workshops, live music, adventure films, fireside yarns, and heaps more. It’s like the ultimate school camp for grown-ups (but way cooler and with better snacks).

Why Jimmys Beach is the perfect spot

Reflections Jimmys Beach sits right on the shores of beautiful Port Stephens, on Worimi Country. It’s the kind of place that hits the sweet spot between relaxed beach vibes and wild natural beauty. There’s bushland behind you, the ocean in front, and a killer sunset in between. Plus, the beach is basically your front yard all weekend.

And since the park is exclusively booked for ExplorerFest, you’ll be sharing the space with fellow outdoor-loving legends — no strangers wandering in, just good vibes and friendly faces.

What’s on? Pretty much everything.

Think trail runs at sunrise, workshops where you can learn bushcraft or how to make damper, ocean swims, kayaking, stargazing, story-sharing, and good food and drink. There’s live music to kick back to in the evenings, outdoor screenings of adventure films, and inspiring chats from people who’ve done some pretty wild things.

The whole weekend is family-friendly too, with a bunch of activities that kids will love. And the best part? Everything’s included in your ticket. No surprise costs, just show up and dive in.

Life's better outside

When good people come together with a shared love for the outdoors, great things happen. This partnership isn’t just about putting on a festival — it’s about creating space for community, connection, and a deeper appreciation for the places we all get to enjoy.
